June 7 - Round Daylight
At last the sun and summer, high temp 79 -- piercing naked blue sky, shreds of stratus, huge cumuli -- for an outing with Harriet along
Ulatis Creek adjacent to
Andrews Park...
the east bank,
north to
Monte Vista,
over the bridge and down the western side, recrossing at the
Downtown Library span,
back
over
the
connection
to
Vacaville's Main Street for lunch
al aire libre at
Los Reyes,
and a detour to the adjacent media repository (have not been to this one in seemingly years), for more book and video enrichment (a bit early in the week, and at the top of another collection's alphabet) --
including
13 Conversations About the Same Thing (2001),
'68 (1988),
84 Charing Cross Road (Helen Hampf, 1970 / 1786),
Absence of Malice (1981),
Ace in the Hole (Billy Wilder, 1951),
Alfie (Bill Naughton, 1966),
Amazing Grace (John Newton 1779, 2006), and
The American President (Aaron Sorkin, 1995). Additionally, Harriet has aquired
Love Affair (Leo McCary, 1939).
After this, home to continue other activities of the day, being composition of Psalm 60, (a spin on the Elijah Rock: Ouverture), pdf of first-movement Some Stuff (Op. 16), starting the 21st-Century Music August 2011 issue and February 2006 reconstruction, orchestrating page 20 of The Countess Cathleen, emailing back issues of 20th-Century Music 1999 from PC to Mac, and adding a fifth video clip into Camino Real: Block 10. Also finally get around to posting Block 9 on YouTube.
Now at 506 MB (49.48%) of 1024 MB. The goal was to slow down photographic usage, such that only approximately half the space was utilized by July 1 -- so, at least have gotten close. Budget allows a bit of overage now (since profilagate behavior of opening months has been curbed), so currently on a reasonable course... still four days extra space re budgeted (510) allowance.
