June 26 - Ever Onward

Edit fourth movement of The Little Prince video as a discrete file, compose page 4 of Psalm 64, orchestrate 38 of The Countess Cathleen, and do pdf for the second of the Embedded Inventions (Op. 20) before launching into the Sierra, past South Yuba River Canyon,

Emigrant

Gap,

The Blue Canyon

Burn,

Yuba Gap

and

Pass,

Grouse Lakes Highlands,

Cisco

and

Big Bend

Buttes,

Castle Ridge,

Donner Pass, and

Granite Chief Ridge on I-80,

then south on 89 under the Little Chief and

Bullshead Cliffs to

Fir Crags

Bridge, walking on the

Truckee

River

Bike Trail

from there

to

Thunder

Cliffs

Footbridge,

and

Rampart --

business

enclave,

Bridge,

and

environs

(all part of the Pacific-Coast-to-Nevada series of connecting hikes).

Back in the car, there will be one more stroll to Lake Tahoe, so might as well check it out, and might as well after that proceed beyond the appropriately so-called Fanny Bridge

(they're all looking down at the trout in the hatchery, evidently)

along

the

shores of the

montaine

agua to the

cozy

spectacular nook of

Emerald Bay with

Fannette Island, flanked by

Maggies and Jakes Peaks, and

Eagle Canyon

and Falls.

Past seasonal falls

and

the heroic morraine separating this inlet from Cascade Lake,

the light dims below

Mt Tallac and a

supply stop,

then lingers long enough to make it up

Echo -

Flagpole Peak

Ridge,

over

the

summit, and down into the

Pyramid Creek /

Lover's Leap

granites before giving out for the day.
