First day of a great assemblage of students (c. 45) for the Summer 2011 Music Literature class, with material for Quiz I, as above.
The morning began as unusual of late -- reveille! Whether it still was dark, or whether anticipation kept you up half the night, in separation, how could you sleep? Soon as it happened, time to take to the road,
with the fog hanging over the Sulfur Springs and
South Vaca Mountains. Good to see all today, again, including Doug,
then afterwards to the Business Office, finally picking up the augmented (thanks to the number of Monty substitutions) monthly, swinging round
Martinez, thence home, whereupon another welcome greeting is received from the US Governmint, re the coin, rather than con, of the realm.
In celebration for being an extra digit more secure, after a bank stop,
stop and bank on the purchase of a video-to-DVD-and-vice-versa deck -- long deferred and very much needed to transfer Goat Hall / SF Cabaret Opera performances for eventual posting on YouTube, etc. However, have neglected to buy the proper disks: went in knowing about DVR's, then mind was seduced by a cheaper price, not noticing that the budget offerings were mere CD's. Nevertheless, the latter are needed re other endeavors, so will purchase tomorrow, and begin the recording processes. Meanwhile the other pleasant travails of the day, including
