January 27 - Where's Heraclitus?

Edit the final movement (XXXIII) of Diabolic Variations

in

a

same-yet-different

scenario of Quiz 1 for the Theoreticians (mostly A's), but with the ability to record (at least for now) after class, finishing up the Diabolic recordings (and receiving the draft of the Grove American article on moi by a fine unnamed writer, via a Charles Hiroshi Garrett email -- yay! It's really happening...) before picking up iPod items at Radio Shack for the car (a long cable so the short one can be used in the house + plus a power adapter that can be plugged into the cigarette lighter -- also yay!, wondering why this hasn't happened before, either...), and today's take on

Franklin

Canyon (a tongue of fog threatening from the Strait),

varying the journey to Marin along the

Richmond Parkway,

to the

Celia's

paper-grading

regime.

Greetings

at

the postbox, then a late-night video for

Diabolic Variations: XXVII (nice that these recent videos have corresponded with the calendar)...

January 18 - Leave the Horses and the Wagons

At last the sun, and a reason to go out into it (after editing Diabolic Variations: XXV), to rendezvous with

Johns Bilotta and McGrew to discuss the possibility of a joint commission for the San Francisco Composers Chamber Orchestra and them -- a pretty long-shot prospect, but, one never knows, plus nice to spend some time with these gentlemen on home turf, with Harriet's characterization of Signore Bilotta as a fine host proving apt...

Off

DVC

way thereafter,

chatting with Doug,

recording more movements of Diabolic;

then return to begin article on Andrew Shapiro for Groves and finish video for

Diabolic Variations: XVIII.
