August 5 - Revisal / Revival
Up all night, still revising the John Adams article for Grove Online / The Grove Dictionary of American Music, Second Edition -- then leave in the early morn, with the fog farther inland than seen any other day this summer,
draped over the Vaca Mountains,
and staying for keeps south of Twin Sisters,
such that the weekly rendezvous with
Crystal and
Stanley is for the first time completely foggy.
Thereafter,
clearing seems iminent
yet
iffy,
but not complete until back in Cordelia,
heading home for needed rest,
before the daily musical routines
(edit second page pdf for Missa "The a Deux": IV. Sanctus
compose fourth page of Psalm 68
orchestrate 74th for The Countess Cathleen
edit 12th video of The Bald Soprano)
and
an
evening
enterprise in
Vallejo,
rehearsing with the
Benicia Ballet for their mixed program of Johann Strauss, Jr.; Peter Tchaikovsky; kinda Leonard Bernstein; et. al.; meeting musicologist / music theorist / oboist / pianist Teri Yamae of Solono Community College.
