August 13 - At Last

More work, for both of us -- so what else is new?  But the last totally unstructured day before the semesters onslaught, so more catch up, plus

Begin the October 2011 issue of 21st-Century Music
Edit the next 10 pages (20 total thus far) of Symphony No. 3 (a project held over from March)
Produce tenth page and final page of pdf for Missa "The a Deux": IV. Sanctus
Continue composition of Psalm 69 (page 2)
82nd orchestrated page of The Countess Cathleen created
20th video edited for The Bald Soprano

Also finish re-reading Edward Abbey's Black Sun (1971) and

Good News (1980).

Upon returning to the completed Missa "The a Deux": IV. Sanctus update, the newer version of Encore (5.0.5) crashes and continues to crash upon attempting to re-open file, so revert to the old Encore (4.5).  Not sure how to proceed at this point... Perhaps will finally have to make the switch to Finale...

On the other hand, there's nothing really terribly wrong with the older Encore, so decide to go back to it, transitioning Psalm 69 over to that format, and also doing the orchestral parts of Solomon: I. Let's Find a Young Woman, as the entire work (Op. 70, c. 15-minutes) may be on the docket for San Francisco Composers Chamber Orchestra in October.

Does this seem like far too much to do in a day?  Yes.
