July 29 - Sky Streaks
Up early for the only day this week,
under tropical skies initially,
then
fog,
then
fairly
gorgeous
again
for
the
appointed walk with Crystal and
Stanley,
making
our
way
to
Plateau
Hill
then
an
about
face
back
for errands
before
vaulting
over
to
Diablo Valley
College, recording what may be the second-to-last collection of
All the BBC Sound Files
LI. London
LII. Rural Backgrounds
LIII. India and Nepal Citylife
LIV. India, Pakistan, and Nepal Countryside
LV. Footsteps I.
Receive the proof from Mona Lyn Reese for the interview,
then head
south
on
680, west via 237, to 101 and the
U.S. Geological Survey Map Store in
Menlo Park to pick up topos of the Tahoe and San Jacinto areas.
Return
north
on
680,
to
Skyline
Drive, the
Great Highway,
arcing west and
north through San Francisco, over the Golden Gate,
back
to
the
sunshine of
Marin,
Sonoma,
and
Solano --
towards
a
rendezvous
home for dinner with Harriet and the evening's musical tasks (part nine of the Missa "The a Deux": III. Credo, begin Psalm 68, orchestrate page 71 of The Countess Cathleen, edit the ninth video for The Bald Soprano).
