before heading out the door with Harriet on another fine Sunday to the

Sierra Nevada,

up and

over

Donner,

down the canyon,

then rising to the North Lake Tahoe area,

for a walk in the woods along the bike path, with distant views of mountains and water (still part of the California Coast-to-Nevada quest).

Afterwards, thinking aquatic, we reverse course to Front Street, for refreshments along the

Truckee River,

then return in the dusk under cliffs and

sky.
