September 22 - By the Silvery
Down the freeway in the
half-
light,
fully
foggy
beyond the Sulfur Springs,
through
the
pastoral
reaches
of
Sonoma,
to
clear
skies
again in
Marin for
another
walk with
Crystal and company.
After quick errands around town and in
Berkeley (picking up the March 2006 back issues of 21st-Century Music),
blast past the Caldecott
to meet the
Theoreticians for
Quiz 6, with examples drawn from Monteverdi, Gesualdo, Schutz, Purcell, Vivaldi, and J.S. Bach. From here, a beeline home -- musical endeavors of the day (parts for Solar Suite: II, fifth-page pdf for Sinfonietta: II, sixth sheet of Psalm 73 composed), plus dinner and
Applause (1929) with Harriet.
