April 16 - Rise and Set
Up by 8am -- bidding John, Elena, and Claire a fond goodbye --
and riding that
lonesome
trail
homeward
on
210,
desperately seeking
Susan
and
Steve,
(the latter via greater Pasadena,
the
Verdugo
Mountains
and
Tujunga area,
up
and
down
Weldon
and
Gavin
Canyons),
magically
scaling the
Violin Grade,
to Paradise (Ranch),
views of distant
Piru
Gorge,
Cherry Canyon,
Pyramid Lake,
Hungry
and
Peace
Valleys,
the narrow confines of
Gorman,
Tejon
Pass,
Castac,
and
the
borders
of
the
heroic
Grapevine,
then
plummeting
downward
to
the Central Valley,
via 99 for a
bit of variety
(hmm...),
a few stops,
distant Coast Range and
Sierra views,
Sacramento,
the familiar 80 corridor,
and home to Harriet, getting word of Marek and Maricar in Grants Pass at the cusp of a question, and preparing pdf of Poems on Crane: III.
Now at 473 MB (46.21%) of 1024 MB -- only 60+ new pictures, but many on the high side of 50 KB, so one supposes this will be OK, given predicted light usage of the coming week....
