April 4 - Pointing Upward
Yet another warm day -- 77 -- to do the daily 21st-Century work and edit the final page of Psalm 51 (Part II), thereby also reconfiguring King David's usage of the same material (placed in the Encore, rather than Sibelius, formate). Arriving at DVC, it's time for dictation and board harmony on Duke Ellington's Concerto for Cootie, plus whole-step / half-step and half-step / whole-step octatonic scales, Lydian and Dorian blues, and the Richard Berry Louie-Louie progression -- all in C major.
In the lab thereafter to do pdf editing and record Henry Miller in Brooklyn: III. Morning Chorale I, along with a coffee-and-lunch run for/with Doug. Home to begin the first 15 seconds of the Camino Real: Block 7 video and put up the second movement of Ecclesiastes on IMSLP. Also Stolen Students transferred via email to the Mac from the PC.
