October 17 - Aglow
Racing
against
the
dawn
through
fog of
Solano and
Sonoma
(Sears
Point
and
Petaluma
Plain)
and
fair
of
Marin
(across
the
37
lowlands
and
down

rendezvous'ing with Crystal
and
the
ever-
energetic
Stanley
at last
in the Terra Linda /
Sleepy Hollow Divide Open Space with
views all around --
nice to
take up
again our
weekly walks.
Beyond, after errands, it's across the
Bay
and
through
Franklin Canyon
on
Route 4, ultimately to
Diablo Valley College, for the beginning of Week 10 with the Theoreticians, featuring Sergei Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf for video, dictation, keyboard-solfege, and board harmony... plus C# / G# / D# Minor, B Major, and engaging student compositions.
Homeward,
mostly,
thereafter
to
Harriet and Tony, responding to emails re the two Fresh Voices shows (XI and XII), then back down the freeway to San Francisco for the monthly
SFCCO board meeting,
debriefing the just-concluded rehearsal-performance series.
Late-night musical endeavors include continued work on the pdf of Aerial Requiem (page 14, conclusion of Tuba Mirum), plus composition of ensuing pages re Psalm 77 (9) and The Cop and the Anthem (25).
