October 22 - Tales Told

Finish reading Honore de Balzac's Pere Goriot (Chaucer and Rabelais will have to wait their turns) in an anonymous translation that must have been quite popular, given the two versions of it on the

shelves here. Truly a day at home with Harriet, with the farthest adventure being the backyard, and further musical ones as pdf page 19 of Aerial Requiem (now somewhere in the Recordare) and pages 14 and 30 composed for Psalm 77 and The Cop and the Anthem. (on V. Five Blocks Away).

Also, in communication with Debby How, hit upon the notion of doing the Suite ("Sol[ar]") for Oboe, Piano, and Percussion as The Inner Circles for Oboe, Piano, and Synthetic Percussion (Op. 199) -- playing Finale full score, soloing mallets, etc, and projecting score's progress simultaneously.
