December 20 - Whirlwind
Seemingly a lot of activity-- after being gradebound / homebound over the weekend -- starting with finishing up Psalm 43 ("Judge Me"... 8 pages total... seemingly appropriate given other tasks at hand) and doing the grading for the Rock History course, posting same online.
Harriet out on a job, following out the door eventually to
DVC to record Psalm 42 and Diabolic Variations: I-IV, catching up with Doug Michael and Mark Steidel.
Hustle out of the lab by 4pm,
although the power remains on -- a good thing for a couple of students who are rescuing their locked bike (attached to the Music Building railing this past couple of days in the rain due to a lost key) by electric power-sawing off the padlock: one speaks highly of my substitute-teaching in guitar about 2/3 of the way back in the semester for Monty. Amazing.
Home to rendezvous with
H and head back out to Macy's Christmas shopping
(including a new comforter set), then dining at a local seafood establishment (courtesy of Bette and George) to get the long-coveted and ridiculously caloric Fisherman's Platter (here billed as the Admiral's), taking enough back so that perhaps further dietary sins will not be committed. Late evening video is
Diablic Variations: I. Actually also dream about a whirlwind in the course of the night....
