Mercury, recording same with the Garishtone Ensemble, begin same for Sinfonietta: II, and compose the second page of Psalm 73 --

before heading out the door with Harriet towards

California-Nevada

border of the north shore of

Lake Tahoe, walking northeast a bit

downslope towards

Incline Village,

then

returning

to

dine

at

the

memory-shrouded

Cal-Neva

Resort

(still

redolent

of

its

50's

heyday).

Home in the half- and no-light.

September 5 - Going Up

Labor Day labors of the Pdf for Orpheus Cycle: V and the second systme composed re Psalm 71,

before laboriously ascending the Sierra -- via

  Newcastle,

Auburn

Gold Run,

Bear River

Valley,

Emigrant and

Yuba Gaps,

the latter's

Pass,

Cisco Butte,

Big

Bend,

and

Castle

Ridge.

Working overtime,

it's

down

Donner

Canyon

up past the

Little Chief Cliffs to

Tahoe

City

and

the

Lake's

Carnelian

Bay

for one of the last walks on the Pacific-to-Nevada route,

strolling

to

Agate Bay and

Tahoe

Vista's

amusements

and

accommodations,

on

North

Lake

Boulevard

to

National Avenue and the

post office

in

the

setting sun.
