February 6 - Stuper Stunday

Pondering the prospect of Harriet not returning as soon as anticipated, we wonder if it might be appropriate at take Megan back to Nevada, in order that she might find work, etc.

M is keen on the prospect and actually not feeling all that well at present,

so

the

head

to

the

hospital

is

a

solo

endeavor.

Arrive in time for Harriet's physical therapy, am able to see many of the excercises that she should do a regular basis and confident that the two of us can continue with them when she is released.  Harriet's condition has improved markedly -- she is free of intravenous and breathing apparati, sitting and standing up during the course of events, and in good spirits, all things considering

(to the surreal counterpoint of Marilyn Monroe's Gentlemen Prefer Blondes [Ain't necessarily so, of course]).

In discussing situation with the therapist and her,

we feel that Megan can be set at liberty to return to life as normal.

Call our Reno relative re this,

and by time of return,

she is all packed --

bags actually outside -- and ready to go.

We

fly

up

into

the

Sierra

and

over

the

Summit,

down

towards

Donner Lake,

through Truckee Meadows

and

the

spectacular

Canyon

beyond,

hitting

Nevada

just

into

the

first

quarter of the Superbowl,

where Packers fan

Dawn is happy to function as receiver, with food and drink at hand.

Lingering until almost halftime,

it's

time

to

return

in

the

joyously

setting splendor

homeward,

checking in with Harriet several times.  Finish composing Psalm 46, do another piano-vocal-into-orchestration page (5) of New Big People Old Trouble So Sunday (finishing I. New -- 33 pages total, beginning II. Big, first 3 pages)  and the next Pied Piper Suite video

(III. Badinerie - No Trifling).
