September 30 - It's Finished, Nearly Finished
So it's all a work-in-progress, with the daily update of 21st-Century Music, completing a reading (definitely not a re-) of Edward Albee's The Plays: Volume 2 (Tiny Alice, A Delicate Balence, Box and Quotations from Chairman Mao Tse-Tung), ending up the pdf of Sinfonietta: II (at 13 pages), composing eighth page of The Cop and the Anthem (finishing the first section), and fifth for Psalm 74 --
on a day of clear skies, brisk breezes, and markedly cooler temperatures (high of 80, the second lowest temperature since late June).

September 27 - Once
Finish re-reading (or is it a first -- perhaps only took in the movie?) of Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf somewhere in the course of a day that includes backtracking in Music Theory for a dictation / board harmony on J.S. Bach's Cantata No. 140 ("Wachet auf"): VII. Chorale, first phrase, plus beginning the second round of engaging student compositons, with pieces by Joe and Zach. Other musical activities of the day include fifth-page composition of The Cop and the Anthem, plus second for Psalm 79, as well as page 10 pdf for Sinfonietta: II.

September 16 - Being Here
Crystal has a new, repeat-business client on Friday mornings, so we will re-schedule our weekly walks -- meanwhile an unaccustomed day of catch-up, with Harriet out-and-about at meetings and rehearsals (looking for a Berkeley P.O. Box for Goat Hall, among other endeavors) -- finishing a re-reading of Edward Albee's The Zoo Story (1958) and The American Dream (1960), continuing pdf of Sinfonietta: I, and composing page 6 of Psalm 72 -- thereby finishing it and Op. 187 entire.
Also receive word from ASCAP re the granting of another Standard Award... a yearly event for quite some time now... always very appreciated and welcome.
